The Bears have agreed to acquire DE Darrell Taylor from the Seahawks.
Taylor was a second-round pick by Seattle in 2020 out of Tennessee
In his two seasons with the Seahawks, Taylor has recorded 8.5 sacks and 16 QB hits
The Bears are looking to bolster their pass rush after finishing 24th in the NFL in sacks last season.
Taylor, 25, has shown promise as a young edge rusher and will look to take the next step in Chicago
The trade terms were not immediately disclosed, but the Bears are likely sending draft pick compensation to Seattle.
Chicago has made several moves this offseason to improve their defense, including signing LB Tremaine Edmunds
The Bears are hoping Taylor can team up with Robert Quinn and others to create a formidable pass rush in 2024
Both teams are hoping this trade will benefit them in the long run as they look to contend in the NFC
